Responsibilities
I worked closely with another developer to bring the Rabbit Hill Snow Resort project to life. I focused on both front-end development and integrating back-end systems. A key part of my role was ensuring the seamless implementation of the seasonal themes to allow the site to dynamically switch between winter and summer modes. Translating intricate design concepts into interactive animations using SVGs was another major focus to enhanced the overall user experience. The dynamic nature of the site demanded meticulous attention to detail as each theme needed to feel immersive and true to its season.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the smooth transition between the "winter" and "summer" themes. It wasn’t just about changing the visual elements but also ensuring that the content dynamically updated based on the season. Another challenge was implementing the animated SVGs without sacrificing site performance, as the visuals needed to be both engaging and lightweight.
